Human Gaze
Human Gaze aims to subvert the hegemonic heteronormative doctrine over pleasures, which has been historically codified within the aesthetic language displayed by Pornography. The phallogocentric narrative colonized the social body, subduing corporeality to a justnaturalistic metaphysic and ethic system of existence, which disciplines how to live and feel within mundanity. In the discourse on sexuality produced by our daily phallic culture, Pornography represents the ethic-aesthetic orthodoxy that normalizes a figurative and media language, which is articulated into a norma regarding the sense of feeling: behaviours; desirability, affective and emotional attitudes, carnal and erogenous knowledge; somatic expressivity and performative methodology socially permitted and yet exploited.
wSince Pornography dictates whatever is expressible or not about desire, it owns the sovereignty over the performativity of human sexuality and emotivity, imposing its heterosexual perspective to any body, ending up with marginalizing and censoring the existence of queer experiences and any alternative significances. This ongoing project want to claim back the irreducible freedom each subject owns to experience its affectivity and sexuality in accordance to its own sense of feeling. Thus, the work pursues the emancipation against the repression and commodification human desire has been going through by patriarchal power institutions. Specifically, Human Gaze focuses on the visibility of lesboerotism, through the artistic narration of the erotic experience shared by two lovers, phenomenon which is usually manipulated and abused by porn culture, and yet unspoken in its genuine authenticity since the voices of those who are submerged within this experience have been excluded
